This role is perfect for someone who understands that toddlerhood is all about connection, consistency, and guidance — and who enjoys building strong routines while supporting big emotions and growing independence.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will:

• Create a safe, loving, and structured classroom environment for toddlers

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based activities

• Support toddlers’ social, emotional, physical, and language development

• Establish consistent routines that help toddlers feel secure and confident

• Use positive behavior guidance and redirection strategies

• Supervise and support assistant teachers in the classroom

• Maintain daily communication with families about routines, milestones, and progress

• Ensure licensing, health, and safety standards are always followed

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate:

• Has experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting

• Meets Wisconsin DCF requirements for a Lead Teacher position

• Is calm, patient, and responsive to young children’s needs

• Understands toddler behavior and development

• Communicates effectively with families and coworkers

• Enjoys teamwork and takes pride in classroom organization and structure

• Is reliable, positive, and committed to quality care
